I’m a 20 something that spends a lot of time exploring. I may be exploring the world with a backpack, or exploring my mind with a pen and a notebook.
I’ve always been adventurous (my friends told me I was the Tommy Pickles of the group when we were kids), but haven’t always lived life as an adventure. Things changed when I came to a somewhat ridiculous, but life changing epiphany. In the corporate world, we are constantly forced into introduction circles where we have to say our name and something interesting about ourselves. For a while I had a good answer, but over time that answer got stale. I kept using it, but always felt a knot in my stomach. That knot was a result of the subconscious understanding that since I had started my job, I had allowed the corporate world to suck a lot of the adventure out of my life. My thoughts were dulled as I conformed to the corporate culture, and my adventurousness was taking a toll as I used the excuses of work and exhaustion to remain stationary.
Since that day I’ve turned my life around. I’ve been writing, playing music, traveling, and thinking more than ever. I’ve held personal development retreats and had challenging conversations with new friends and old friends. I feel creative, confident, and in control of what I can control. I also accept what I cannot. I’ve come to understand that everything is an adventure if we have the right perspective.
I want to share this excitement, passion, and motivation with others. I also want to be challenged on my ideas, learn from the ideas of others, and build an amazing community of incredible individuals who live life for the adventure.
If you want to be part of this community follow along by signing up in the side bar on the right. You can also get in touch with me by sending me an email at email@example.com . I welcome all questions, comments, or challenges. I would also love to hear about your recent adventures or how you are applying the adventuring to your daily life. If you have an article that you think would be great for this site, send it along and we can discuss.
